Meet Lyndhurst’s next Superintendent of Schools

 -  -  1111

Insiders say Lyndhurst’s next Superintendent is Anthony Grieco, the current Superintendent of Schools in Elmwood Park.

As do Lyndhurst Schools today, four years ago Elmwood Park Schools faced state takeover because of financial problems. Grieco’s efforts are credited with having taken over in a difficult time and having saved Elmwood Park from state control.

ELMWOOD PARK’S SCHOOLS FACED FINANCIAL CHALLENGES IN 2014 SIMILAR TO THE ONES CREATED BY THE LYNDHURST BOARD OF EDUCATION AFTER YEARS OF THEIR NEPOTISM AND ABUSES OF THE PUBLIC TRUST

Grieco also has experience managing school buildings that present problems.

LAST YEAR ELMWOOD PARK’S SCHOOL BUILDINGS APPEARED TO MAKE TEACHERS AND STUDENTS SICK

Grieco’s background with school facilities in crisis will be very useful in Lyndhurst as the Township attempts to rebuild its schools within the budgets approved by voters and Mayor Giangeruso and the Board of Commissioners.  Insiders also report the the first bids to come in from contractors put the costs for rebuilding the schools way over budget.

No word from the Mayor, Commissioners or Board of Education as to what they will do now.
