He never qualified to be a gym teacher. Are you surprised Tommy DiMaggio became such an ANGRY Parks & Rec Commissioner?
Back in 1966, I was just starting kindergarten when Tommy DiMaggio had just graduated from Lyndhurst High School the previous spring.
DiMaggio, a “tall, dark, handsome lad” (and don’t forget modest) had big dreams of becoming a gym teacher after he graduated. Alas, Tommy never got to college and therefore could never become the gym teacher he dreamed of being.
Today, Tommy DiMaggio is a mortgage broker (more on that later, I assure you). He’s also a hack politician and the Lyndhurst Commissioner of Parks and Recreation; a position in which he is widely reported to be a very mean and angry old man, chasing the kids from parks and in general being a real jerk off.
Ever wonder why?
Well, I’m no shrink, but maybe Tommy is just channelling his inner gym teacher, the kind of gym teacher he dreamed of being, made even meaner by his failure to become that gym teacher in real life.
Hey, that’s just my theory.
Feel free to leave your comments below, sharing your stories of your interactions with Lyndhurst Parks and Recreation Commissioner Tommy DiMaggio and his nasty family, along with your theories too.
The people of Lyndhurst want to better understand why an angry old man, his wife and his adult kids chase our young kids out of Town Hall Park routinely.
Get ready. Summer’s coming, and so are The DiMaggios!
