NEW MILFORD — Piotr Partyla ran for 200 yards and two touchdowns and Isaiah De La Cruz had a game-sealing interception as Lyndhurst spoiled the opening of New Milford’s new turf field with a 13-6 win Friday night.

It’s the first time Lyndhurst has beaten New Milford since 2004.

“They’ve been a giant that I haven’t been able to beat, tons of respect to [New Milford coach] Billy [Wilde], he’s a great coach, but you know what, it’s our time now baby,” Lyndhurst coach Rich Tuero said.
